BPI Austria was established in 1997, modelled on the success of the Hawaiian company, Botanical Products International, Inc. in developing and producing herbal remedies derived from tropical Pacific Island medicinal plants. 

BPI Austria thus introduced and commercialised this concept in Europe. One of the most successful products first introduced to the market was "Stress Relax", produced from the Kava plant. At that time, great demand existed for Kava Kava as a raw material in Europe, leading to the founding of our subsidiary, Wainani Farms Hawaii, on Big Island of Hawaii.  Wainani Farms planted and cultivated Kava - a unique medicinal plant - on large scale plantations. Due to our large production capacity and high European demand, several sea containers of kava per month were shipped.

Aside from marketing dietary supplements produced from tropical Pacific Island plants, BPI has proved to be a reliable European supplier of botanical raw materials and ingredients from Hawaii and the South Pacific region.

The European food, phytopharma, and cosmetic industries high demand for tropical ingredients meshes well with BPI’s ability to supply consistent quality materials combined with competitive pricing and rapid delivery times.

In recent years, the demand for products derived from the Noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia) has risen substantially in Europe. In cooperation with Wainani Farms Hawaii, BPI produces quality Noni juice, Noni Juice Concentrate, and several other Noni ingredients.

BPI has successfully sold Noni juice and Noni powder in Europe since 1998.

In 2003, BPI was one of the first companies to receive EU certification for Hawaiian Noni juice as a "Novel Food" for sale to EU member nations.

Aside from pure Noni juice, BPI offers Noni Juice Concentrate 6:1, which is produced in Hawaii using a gentle low temperature evaporation procedure.  Both pure Noni juice and Noni juice concentrate are aseptically packed in 1,000 ltr. transport containers for shipment by air or sea freight to Europe or other locations.

Currently, some of the largest and most important fruit juice producers in Germany rely on BPI to provide them with the highest quality Noni ingredients available.

Noni is an acknowledged source of active polysaccharides, and is known to strengthen the immune system.  Indigenous Polynesians and Hawaiians use Noni as an effective natural remedy for many ailments. Studies at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine have demonstrated that Noni is an effective agent against tumours, noting polysaccharides as the active compounds.  Significantly, BPI’s Noni products are the only currently available which are standardized to active polysaccharide compounds.

Thanks to our strong, ongoing relationship with Hawaii, BPI is very happy to also make available CARICOL, one of our latest developments and a valuable dietary supplement.  CARICOL is a unique natural product responsible for the regulation and support of the digestive process, supporting natural peristalsis and promoting regular bowel movement.

This effective preparation for digestion is made from the PAPAYA fruit, and is produced according to an original recipe from the Lotus Buddhist Monastery on the Big Island of Hawaii.

In Austria, CARICOL has been very successfully tested in many clinical studies in several geriatric hospitals, and it is available via pharmacies there.

CARICOL is also offered in most European countries.

According to reports from hospitals where CARICOL has been successfully administrated to patients with chronic constipation and chronic diarrhoea for almost two years, CARICOL is also effective for heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, and flatulence, and also enhances the immune system.
