Noni

Noni (Morinda citrifolia) is found in tropical regions of the Pacific Islands, South East Asia, and the Philippines.

Much ethnobotanical data exists from these regions relating to the use of the fruit, leaves, and  roots of the Noni plant.

In its countries of origin, the use of the Noni plant has come back to the forefront.  The multiple uses of Noni are diverse and effective.  It has been used either as a food for internal applications, or as an external, topical healing treatment.  The use of Noni fruit can be traced to the pharmacopoeia of indigenous Hawaiians, who currently still utilize this tradition for the treatment of diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, and other chronic disorders, although only a few uses have been supported by scientific data.
